Showcase your clinical research and unique cases!
The Poster Session at the Myopia Day Conference 2025, taking place on October 2–3, 2025, offers a unique opportunity for clinicians, students, residents, and academic staff to share interesting clinical cases and innovative research with colleagues from around the world.

General Selection Criteria and Abstract Requirements

All abstracts will be evaluated based on the criteria below. Authors will be notified by email by mid-August 2025 if their poster has been accepted.

  1. All cases and research must be complete and unpublished at the time of submission.
    Abstracts must be submitted online by June 15, 2025.
  2. A primary author may submit a maximum of 3 posters; any additional posters will not be considered.
  3. The abstract must not exceed 350 words (excluding the title and author names).
  4. Abstracts exceeding this limit will be disqualified.
  5. The abstract must include a tested hypothesis, and the conclusions must be supported by the results presented.
  6. The information must be of general interest to the optometric community and must be clear, concise, and well written.
  7. The abstract must contain sufficient detail for evaluation.

Abstract Format for Different Types of Posters

1. Abstracts for Clinical Case Reports

    • Title: The title must be short and indicate the nature of the clinical report.
    • Abstract: Must include the following key elements:
      • Background: Introduction of the case and its relevance.
      • Case Description: Detailed presentation of the case.
      • Conclusion: Outcomes and clinical significance of the case.

2. Abstracts for Scientific Posters

    • Title: The title must be short and indicate the nature of the scientific paper.
    • Abstract: Must include the following key elements:
      • Background: Introduction to the issue and its relevance.
      • Method: Description of the methodology used.
      • Results: Key findings obtained.
      • Conclusion: Conclusions and the significance of the results.

Available Formats for Poster Presentation

  1. Live/In-Person Presentation
    Accepted posters will be presented physically on October 2–3, 2025, during the Myopia Day Conference in Moldova. Authors will have the opportunity to be present at their poster for 2 hours, interacting with attendees.
  2. Pre-Recorded Presentation
    Pre-recorded posters will be uploaded to the conference’s digital platform and available for on-demand viewing starting from May 23, 2025

Note: The pre-recorded format is not eligible for the Fellowship requirements of the
European Academy.

Recognition of Top Posters

The top five posters will be selected to participate in a special educational session during the conference. This will include:
  • Quick presentations (“rapid-fire session”) of 5-10 minutes per author.
  • The authors of these posters will receive free registration for the conference.
  • Top posters will be promoted in publications and newsletters.
